On February 27, 2025, the candidates for Eau Claire City Council participated in a forum in the Eau Claire Public Library.
Six of the seven candidates running for the Eau Claire City Council in the April 1st election appeared in the forum.
The candidates are running for the five at-large seats on the council.
The five seats are currently occupied by Kate Felton, Larry Mboga, Joshua Miller, Charlie Johnson, and Roderick Jones. Miller, Johnson and Mboga will be on the ballot. Felton and Jones have announced they will not run for re-election. Challengers include Philip Swanhorst, Nate Otto, Ethan Reed, and Mary Catherine Partlow.
Mboga and Swanhorst were the only candidates who were unable to attend the forum.
The event was sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Greater Chippewa Valley and co-sponsored by The American Association of University Women-Eau Claire Branch (AAUW), Chippewa Valley Votes (CVV), and Joining Our Neighbors Advancing Hope (JONAH). The moderator of the forum was Ellen Ochs, President of the LWV-GCV.

Eye On Dunn County is one of the sponsors of the School Board Candidate Forum, which is being held in the Menomonie High School Auditorium on March 12 at 7 PM. We hope to see you there. The Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce is another sponsor. The League of Women Voters of the Greater Chippewa Valley is the primary driving force behind this event. I hope that if you care about the schools in our district you will come to learn more about the school board candidates before the April 1 election. All five of the candidates have responded that they will attend. If you cannot attend the event there will be a live stream of the forum here, and a recording will be available after the event.
We believe the issue with the main site menu not working on small devices is now resolved, though not in the way we wanted to fix it. Many of the items in the former top menu have moved down to the user menu. We're working on a more elegant fix.
