Wis.Community will be traveling with the Wisconsin Farmers Union to the Heartland Forum in Storm Lake Iowa. The trip will include the forum itself, which is the first candidate forum of the 2020 campaign season. It will also include a Farmer Bill of Rights Rally sponsored by Family Farm Action.

The forum will discuss rural issues and corporate power in America's Heartland. The forum will be moderated by Pulitzer-prize-winning editor Art Cullen and Amanda Terkel and Zach Carter of Huffington Post. The event will also be live-streamed at Huffington Post.

The forum panelists will include  Former U.S. HUD Secretary Julian Castro, Rep. John Delaney, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Rep. Tim Ryan, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Plans are currently slightly sketchy for our coverage of the event - we'll let you know more later in the week.

This event is sponsored by Iowa Farmers Union, Huffington Post, The Storm Lake Times, and Open Markets Action.

Note -- We've been informed that we are not allowed to do video at the event, and that the only video allowed will be the Huffington Post live video stream.

As a warm-up to what kinds of discussion you are likely to see, this is the panel on anti-trust that happened at this year's Wisconsin Farmers Union Conference, with Austin Frerick of Open Markets, moderated by Kara O'Connor.

Some more resources on anti-trust, farming, farmer's rights and more are listed below. This includes Elizabeth Warren's 2016 speech on Anti-trust, and the text of the speech, a few articles on Anti-Trust from a conservative point of view, and the Special Order of Business adopted by the Wisconsin Farmers Union at their last convention concerning competitiveness in the agricultural Field.
