Let's take a look at the local races from last  night and how they fell out.

The US Senate seat is still too close to call, although Tammy Baldwin holds a slight lead. This may be within the 1% margin that would allow her opponent Eiric Hovde to request a recount if he pays for it. Hovde carried all of the local counties except for Eau Claire County. In Dunn County Hovde currently has received 55.1% of the vote.

The 3rd District election has not yet been called by the Associated Press, but Derrick Van Orden is leading opponent Rebecca Cooke with 51% of the vote. Van Orden is leading in all of the local counties other than Eau Claire, where Cooke is leading with 57.4% of the current vote tally. 99% of the vote has been counted in this race.

In District 91 Jodi Emerson has been declared the winner with 51.6% against her Republican challenger Michelle Skinner, so Emerson will return to the legislature.

The District 92 race has been called for Clint Moses(R) against his challenger Joe Plouff(D). Moses received 53.3% of the votes and will retain his seat.

In the open 93rd district seat Christian Phelps(D) has defeated James Rolbiecki(R). In this race Pheips won heavily  in Eau Claire county while Rolbiecki received approximately 60% of the vote in both Dunn and Trempeleau counties.

There will be more news on the local races after all of the votes have come in, perhaps later today.

If you ae interested in how all of the voting went in Dunn County (where all of the results are in) the unofficial vote tallies for the county are attached either to the right or below (depending on what device your are using).  The voter turnout was exceptionally high, with 96% of the registered voters in the county turning out for the election.

All of the Associated Press election results are up on our elections page.
