Recommendations for Regular Board Meeting on July 14, 2025:

 

A.  Action to Approve the Consent Agenda, as presented:

 

1.  Minutes - That the board approves the following minutes, as presented:

            a) Regular Board Meeting of June 9, 2025; and            b) Special Board Meeting of June 23, 2025

 

2.  Financial Reports - That the board approves general fund checks in the amount of $2,644,176.69 and cash receipts in the amount of $82,695.29 for June 2025, as presented.

 

3.  Donations - That the board approves donations exceeding $1,000 for the month of June 2025, as presented:

• $2,155 in donations from Lift-a-Thon fundraiser for the high school weight room.

 

4. SDMA Education for Employment Plan, as presented.

 

5. Project Search UW-Stout Program 66.0301 Cooperative Agreement, as presented.

The strategic plan was presented -- when it is published, we will make it available. 

       B. Annual Review of Curriculum Standards

       C. Discuss 2024-25 Budget Revisions
       D. Discuss Year-End Budget Transfers

This involves transferring funds to accommodate items that were above or below budget - 

This is a means to maximize state aid. There will be a surplus of $ 1.2-2 million this year, largely due to the health benefits costing less than projected. Several other items also came in under budget. 

A recommended list of budget transfers will be presented at the next meeting.

       E. Review of State Biennial Budget
       F. Review Proposal for Staff Perceptions Survey
       G. Second Review of the 2025-26 Calendar of Board Reports

This was postponed till the next meeting.
