The pandemic continues - and there's a media call

Despite the continual claims to the contrary on social media, it is now Nov. 4, 2020, and the coronavirus is still here and still out of control.

Governor Evers started by thanking all of the election workers in the Nov. 3 election. 

In the past week there have been 2102 deaths from COVID-19 in Wisconsin (as of yesterday). Mayo Clinic is asking everyone to conform to all of the recommendations in regard to the virus to stop the virus from overwhelming hospitals in the state. 

There were 5935 confirmed cases since yesterday, which is another record number of new cases. The percentage of positive cases is also very high, at 36.5%. All 72 counties are now at the very high COVID activity level. Some counties have up to 2000 cases for every 100,000 residents. Many hospitals are at or near capacity. 243 new hospitalizations were reported today.

2156 residents have now died from the virus. Andrea Palm asked everyone to stay home as much as possible to save lives.

The governor was asked about the request for a recount from President Trump based on "irregularities" in the election. The Governor said he was not surprised "considering the source", and that it was "just more BS".
