We were intending to record and re-use the school board's live stream of the meeting tonight (due to the conflict with the City Council meeting) but the school district's live feed never appeared tonight, so we will not have coverage of this meeting. The unofficial minutes for the meeting are attached below.

With Downsville Elementary School closed at the end of the 2024-25 school year, overall elementary capacity is running at 78% with individual schools operating at the following levels:

  • Knapp Elementary School: 56%
  • Oaklawn Elementary School: 91%
  • River Heights Elementary School: 82%
  • Wakanda Elementary School: 68%

The most recent population projections included in the 2025 Dunn County Economic Profile show school-age population in Dunn County declining by 25% over the next 25 years.

Similar trends can be seen in the attached DWD Demographics report from February 21, 2025.
