Wis.Community has been accepted as a member of LION Publishers. LION is an organization of Local Independent On-line News publishers. LION does many exciting projects to help promote local on-line news organizations, and we're proud to be accepted as a member.
At the moment we are a provisional member and hope to become a full member next year as the site advances. I attended the LION conference in Chicago last year and found it to be full of friendly and helpful people in the local news publishing space. We are now one of several web sites in Wisconsin that are LION members and I hope this will result in more collaboration in the on-line news and information space in the state. More on this later ---

Steve is a member of LION Publishers , the Wisconsin Newspaper Association, the Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Local Media Consortium, is active in Health Dunn Right, and is vice-president of the League of Women Voters of the Greater Chippewa Valley.
He has been a computer guy most of his life but has published a political blog, a discussion website, and now Eye On Dunn County.
