Per the provisions of Section 19.84, Wisconsin Statutes, notice is hereby given that a public meeting of the Dunn County Planning, Resource, and Development Committee and the
Land Conservation Committee will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 8:30am in Room 60 at the Dunn County Government Center, 3001 US HWY 12 East, Menomonie, Wisconsin.
The building entrance for meetings is on the lower level of the Government Center and will be open 30 minutes ahead of the meeting start time. Items of business to be discussed or acted upon at this meeting are listed below. Damage Claims
USDA Wildlife Services accounted for fifteen enrollees varying on a couple of different wildlife species and abatement techniques for the Winter of 2024; this is lower than last year's (Winter of 2023), with twenty-eight enrollee requests. Most of these enrollments involved winter store feed deer issues.
Three claims have been filed with the commodity prices approved by the Dunn County Planning, Resource, and Development Committee on December 18th, 2024. With two involving deer damages, and one involving a bear, all claims were recommended to be approved by the USDA Wildlife Services representative present at today's meeting. All 3 claims involving wildlife damages were further approved by the committee.
