Fortune Cookies by Bonnie Dudovitz

We are proud to be sharing and hosting a new community event opportunity with you and hope you can share it with the deaf and hard of hearing community in the Menomonie and Superior area. The Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ODHH) has been working with the Remember Project to provide the play Fortune Cookies about a son and his mother having a conversation about dementia. We have worked with the Remember Project to be able to provide the performance in American Sign Language (ASL) with Wisconsin deaf actors Christopher Rawlings and Alyson Urdahl and voice over for hearing participants. CART will also be provided.

2025- Radical Act of Community, Movement & Healing

Let's practice some radical care of ourselves and each other by stepping into our bodies as fully as possible and experiencing where we are in the moment.

This practice is what you bring to it. Dance for 45 minutes straight in a free-form style that makes room for every person to respond to the music in their own way...yoga, walking meditation, vocalizing, internal exploration, playful partnering; everyone making room for everyone else.

The playlist starts and ends in a meditative state. There are often a couple of earthy songs in the mix to ground us with drums or nature-inspired lyrics, and the middle songs are chaotic and driving. I've experienced our dances as movement through emotional responses to music that help loosen up places where we might be stuck...all within a supportive community. Open to all genders. Invite friends. The more energy we create together, the more powerful our dance can be!

$7 suggested donation helps pay for the music and time to build playlists, but please don't let money keep you from coming. We want you on the dance floor!

Bring a full water bottle and wear clothing that allows you to move freely and layer as needed.

Questions? Contact Jessica Fischer at 612-810-6855 or [email protected]. To see playlists go to https://cloverleaf.myportfolio.com/dance.

Share Your Hopes for the UUC Building

Share Your Hopes for the UUC Building
11:15 AM, Sunday, March 16th, Gathering Room
Caring for our historic building is a vital and ongoing responsibility. We've been incredibly fortunate to have Bob Jankowski, a dedicated volunteer, who has overseen special projects, secured contractors, and ensured our building remains in excellent condition. After serving as chair since 2005, Bob will be stepping down from this role.

On Sunday, March 16th, we invite you to join us for a conversation about the future of the Building Committee. This will be an opportunity to share your vision for the committee, discuss potential leadership options, and develop a plan to ensure our building continues to receive the care it deserves.
If you're interested in helping shape the future of the committee, want to be part of the team managing building projects, or are considering taking on a leadership role--THIS MEETING IS FOR YOU!

Hinduism - Crossing Paths (Youth RE)

Crossing Paths is a religious exploration class for youth in grades 5th - 8th that are interested in learning about different religions in a secular way. We UUs believe that all spiritual paths are valid and deserving of our respect. This curriculum is meant to foster knowledge and tolerance of the many belief systems that make up the beautiful tapestry of culture all around us.

We will learn about the history and customs of Hinduism. We'll dive into holy books, rituals, and traditional foods while welcoming special guests from our community to talk about how they practice and what their faiths means to them.

Then we will take a field trip to a faith center. Students are encouraged to attend all the classes so they can keep up with the lessons. Please reach out to Aimee Johnson if you need to make up a class or have questions about the materials.

***This event is only open to RE youth, and their family, enrolled in Crossing Paths.***
