Meet the Author - Georgia Lee Arts

Saturday, March 29, 11am-2pm. Meet author, and career and life coach, Georgia Lee Arts. She'll have copies of her book for sale and signing.
About the author:
Georgia Lee Arts, founder of Elysian Dream® headquartered in Menomonie, WI empowers individuals to achieve career success with an innovative coaching program.

The Book: Dream Journey, Breaking the Dream Barriers™: A Guide to Bridging Identity Gaps in Life and Career

In a world defined by relentless change and shifting roles, Dream Journey, Breaking the Dream Barriers™ offers an empowering roadmap for navigating the challenges of identity gaps in life and career. This transformative guide explores how to evolve beyond adversity, grief, and burnout, redefining success on your terms and aligning authentically with your true self.
Drawing from timeless archetypes like the hero, heroine, and warrior--and inspired by figures such as Rosie the Riveter--the book invites readers on a spiritual and creative journey. Through the lens of narrative coaching, poetry, and somatic healing, it provides actionable strategies to bridge the void between who you are and who you are meant to become.
From addressing the empathy void and trauma of transitions to redefining success and embracing reinvention, Dream Journey is both a practical and reflective guide. It explores the power of branding your identity, harnessing creative solutions, and leaning into chaos as a catalyst for growth.
Whether you're a professional seeking authentic career alignment, a leader redefining success, or an individual stepping into a new phase of life, this book will guide you to victory. Through empathy, storytelling, and the wisdom of archetypes, Dream Journey transforms adversity into triumph and chaos into clarity, empowering you to embrace your own hero's or heroine's journey.

Meet the Author: Meagan Frank

Saturday March 29, 11am-2pm. Meet author Meagan Frank; she'll have books for sale and signing.
The Book:
For the Team: How to Improve the Youth Sports Experience for Everyone
A unique exploration of the emotionally charged adult youth sports experience.

Fewer than 2% of athletes ever play Division I sports, and for those who do, it's not always a positive experience. The pressures begin in youth sports and rarely let up. Team Adult--the parents, coaches, and administrators facilitating youth, high school, and college sports--need to turn inward and explore their own motivations and intentions in order to effect real change for the benefit of young athletes everywhere.
In For the Team: How to Improve the Youth Sports Experience for Everyone, sports mom, former Division I athlete, and coach Meagan Frank provides an invaluable guide for the adults in the youth sports landscape. She urges them to take personal responsibility in creating an emotionally healthy place for kids to learn, play, and grow, no matter the level of competition and no matter the stakes. Frank takes a deep-dive into highly-charged topics surrounding youth sports and shares key strategies Team Adult can adopt, including actively listening to the young athletes, respecting their choices, encouraging sports activities outside of the competitive environment, and carving out time for the family and other interests.
Full of personal insights, interviews with experts, discussions with coaches, and surveys from hundreds of parents and children, For the Team features emotional discoveries and practical advice that will improve family and team dynamics and bring youth sports back to where it should be--as one small yet important part of a child's development into a healthy, confident, and happy individual.
About the Author:
Meagan Frank has been a part of nearly 200 sports communities since her time as an athlete at Colorado College where she played NCAA Division-I soccer and Division-III basketball. She has coached boys' and girls' teams at the college, high school, and youth levels, parented three active athletes, and has held board member positions for four separate sports associations. Meagan regularly gives presentations across the country on the subjects of sports parents and women in sports.

Stories and Reflections of a Wisconsin Forest Ranger

Thursday, March 6, 6-7pm. Retired forest ranger, Blair Anderson, will provide insight and great stories about what it's really like to be a forest ranger. Come with lots of questions.
Get a sneak peek - Blair Anderson will be on the Larry Meiller Show on Wednesday, February 26 at noon.
About the book:
America's deadliest forest fire was not out West. It was in northern Wisconsin, the Great Peshtigo Firestorm of 1871 where 1,200,000 acres burned and as many as 2,500 people lost their lives. That tragedy quite literally sparked the need for forest rangers in Wisconsin. Blair Anderson was one of those Rangers, fighting fires in Wisconsin for more than 30 years in Sauk, Iowa, Dane and Richland counties and beyond.
He shares his stories of putting out forest fires, preventing them, investigating them, and educating people about them in his new memoir, When the Smoke Clears: Stories and Reflections of a Wisconsin Forest Ranger.
The book details a job that many fantasize but few really know. Here, he sets the story straight on what the life of a forest ranger really is about: working with fire departments, police, district attorneys, and lots and lots of regulr folks and, yes, tackling forest fires.
In Person or via Zoom
About the author:
The author is retired and living in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. With a long life of blessing, he has settled into a stage of giving back from the abundance. An unrepentant storyteller, he is putting together collections of different stories from various parts of life, of which this is one.
