The Jim Phillips Trio (JP3) performs jazzy interpretations of folk rock, Americana, and alternative pop covers, as well as original songs from Phase I - the debut album from the Jim Phillips Project. The sound is a mix of upbeat and introspective, with crisp vocals, and features catchy familiar songs, as well as a few more obscure numbers - often punctuated with laid back-yet -innovative improvisational segments.
This will be a benefit for Moose Charities. All are welcome!
The award winning Sue Orfield Band has been creating it's own unique brand of blues since 2006. Led by Sue's melodious and commanding tenor saxophone, the Sue Orfield Band plays powerful original music peppered with fun covers of rock, blues and country music.

ARTmobile connects children and families with the visual arts both in person and online. Its purpose is to provide fun and relevant art projects that have an educational aspect to them. These art projects are adaptable, with limited supplies, and are intended to take less than a half-hour to create under the guidance and supervision of the parent or guardian of the child.

Join us for Community Hours at the CollECtive Arts Center this Saturday for some creative fun with other artists, young or old... Or mid-ish... 5-7pm at 310 E Madison St in Eau Claire.
CollECtive Jam, CollECtive Arts' teen music community is hosting an All Ages open mic night. Share a song, joke, spoken word, or anything you can do in 5 min. on a small stage. Drums, keys, bass amp, 3 mics and aux cable provided.
Sometimes you just don't want to be alone - but you don't want the pressure of heavy socializing either. Quiet Company is a FREE virtual space where we can show up, do our own thing, and still feel connected.
Bring whatever you'd like to work on: art, reading, journaling, laundry, or even just sipping tea. Cameras on (because it's nice to see each other), but no one is talking out loud. The chat will be open for connection - share what you're up to, react to others, or just sit back and enjoy the quiet presence of community.
Occasionally, the facilitator will drop gentle prompts into the chat to spark conversation if you'd like to join in. But there's absolutely no pressure - come as you are, participate however feels comfortable.
Guidelines:

✨ Camera on, mic off (to keep the atmosphere warm and accountable)
✨ Appropriate, respectful presence - this is a safe, welcoming space

It's getting super weird out there, friends, but when you think about it, what better time to head on out to 2 Roots, get you a nice glass of wine (or beer, or bourbon!) and catch guitar-guru-blues-rock-legend Tommy Bentz, and poet/novelist/Doublewide Jon Loomis, as they tag-team a veritable smorgasbord of their original songs (and possibly a cover or two)! We're talking all-acoustic musical back-and-forth, replete with Tommy's virtuoso playing and masterful songwriting and Jon's darkly witty tunes, plus some stories, probably, and definitely a few jokes, and for sure a relaxed vibe and a chance to chill with friends! Don't miss it!
Based in Wisconsin's Chippewa Valley, The Double Stops perform a relaxing blend of guitar-centric pop, classic rock, 90s alternative, and vocal jazz. The duo consists of Emily Watkins (guitar/vocals) and Dustin DeGolier (guitar/vocals), both freelance musicians and educators in western WI. Individually, they frequently perform with various ensembles, exploring jazz, rock, country, funk, blues, and original music. Emily and Dustin both serve on the faculty at the Shell Lake Arts Center summer camps.
Pat and Ken playing some of your favorites - guitars, keyboard and vocals. Weather looks like it will be great. Probably one of the last outside events for the summer. Hope to add in a few Oktoberfest tunes.
Gather at 5:20 we plan to hike at 5:30 so we can get done hiking before dark.
