The Menomonie Police and Fire Commission has announced that Commander Rick Hollister has been appointed as the new police chief, replacing Eric Atkinson, who has left his position as chief to be the City Administrator in Menomonie.
Commander Hollister has 37 years of experience in policing. He served as an officer in Osseo for five years before coming to Menomonie. He has worked his way up through the ranks of the Menomonie Police, serving as a Patrol Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Lieutenant, and a Commander for the Administrative Services/Criminal Investigations Bureaus and the Operations Bureau.
Hollister will begin his position as Police Chief on Monday, April 17.
