The Dunn County Health Department is running an opioid overdose awareness campaign to share more about the risks of Fentanyl. Fentanyl is a dangerous drug often mixed with other drugs that aren’t prescribed by your doctor, making them cheaper and more addictive. Even a tiny amount of Fentanyl can lead to a deadly overdose.
Fentanyl can be fatal and the amount of Fentanyl in illegal drugs can be unpredictable. In 2020, 86% of opioid deaths in Wisconsin were connected to a synthetic or man-made opioid like fentanyl. Fentanyl is often found in fake pills intended to look like legitimate drugs, and has been found in some Delta-8 gummies that have caused at least two overdoses.

This opioid overdose awareness campaign was funded using State Opioid Response (SOR) dollars provided by the Northwood’s Coalition. The funding is being used to purchase a billboard ad on Highway 25 South and support community Narcan training.

Graeme Zelinski lays it on WTMJ
This morning on WTMJ news, Graeme Zelinski from the Democratic Party of Wisconsin took WTMJ and Charlie Sykes to task for banging the drum on the crazed GOP talking points about the recall effort. The GOP now has two different lawsuits against the GAB, both attacking the GAB for enforcing the law as written (apparently something the GOP finds abhorrent, even if it's a law that they wrote themselves).
Even Though llinois Beating Wisconsin in Every Economic Indicator, Walker Going to Illinois to Brag About Wisconsin's Economy
Governor Walker is leaving the state agai tomorrow to travel to Springfield, Illinois to draw attention to how much better Wisconsin (who balanced their budget on the back of schools and public employees) has fared compared to Illinois (who has balanced their budget with shared sacrifice).
Hokey doke... let's take a look.
First we have total jobs added since Illinois Governor Pat Quinn and Walker took office in January of 2011 to the most recent jobs report, February of 2012:

Some will argue that its not fair to compare total jobs added, because Wisconsin has about half as many people as Illinois. OK, here is the rate of job growth for both states and Illinois still did better:

Last, and most important is total workforce. Illinois has added 30,600 workers and Wisconsin has lost 10,400 workers. That is the main driver as to why Wisconsin's unemployment rate has dropped faster than Illinois, since both governors took office:
