Wisco Sports Show with Grant Bilse coming to Menomonie - Dec. 27th

Menomonie native Grant Bilse is bringing his radio show 'Wisco Sports Show with Grant Bilse' to Dean & Sue's on Friday, December 27th. Bilse will be broadcasting his show live from 4 pm - 6 pm.

Wisco Sports Show can be heard locally on Sports Talk 105.1 Monday through Friday from 4 pm - 6 pm. You can also find it on the Wisco Sports Show Facebook page, YouTube Channel, and wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.

Bilse will also be broadcasting the show from the clubhouse at Princeton Valley Golf Course in Eau Claire on Thursday, December 26th, from 4 pm - 6 pm.

About Grant and the show...

Born and raised in Menomonie, Grant went to school in La Crosse and spent 7 years living in the driftless region before moving near Milwaukee to work and better cover Wisconsin sports teams. He has so much love for every corner of the state of Wisconsin and his Wisconsin sports teams.

The Wisco Sports Show is where Wisconsin sports fans have a voice every night- and where Grant speaks as a fan through passionate reaction to wins, losses, and every move made by every Wisconsin sports team. Expert guests join Grant to provide the best information and analysis of the Packers, Brewers, Badgers, and Bucks. Grant is also known to go off the rails talking about Wisconsin highways, lakes Up North, or anything else going on in the state.

"Sports radio is the coolest little world, and I'm so lucky to be a part of it. I get to connect with people all over Wisconsin every single night to talk about our sports teams and the daily experience of living in our beautiful state. I love partnering with local businesses around Wisconsin to better my show and to bring them into my show's world. I'm such a believer in the power of sports radio and the community and relationships it can create."

Notes for the Week - December 19th

Facebook and other social media have posted warnings about brushing scams - you receive an unexpected package or gift in the mail that you didn’t order with your address but no indication of who it's from. Inside, there will be a QR code to scan to find out who sent it. The warning states that when you scan the code, all the information on your phone will be sent to scammers. This warning exaggerates the dangers of scanning QR codes. Here is an excellent article from Snopes with more information.

Several weeks ago, a Stout student posted on Facebook looking for information about local paranormal activity in the area for a film she was making. The short documentary is done and available to watch on YouTube.

Save the Date: The Downsville Sportsman's Ice Fishing Contest is scheduled for February 16th.
