ABOUT THE SHOW

The Punchline Punchout is a one of a kind comedy showcase. Comedians will have just ONE DAY to write brand new jokes based on a suggestion made by hosts Lucy Zarns and Trevor Anderson. This writing and performing challenge will shake down in three rounds with two comedians going head to head on the same topic. A very funny featured comic will close out the show while winners are determined. You won't want to miss this special presentation featuring some of the Twin Cities' top comics coming to take on Eau Claire's local legends on their home turf!

OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS

-Clear Water Comedy and The Plus are absorbing your ticket fees. Buy in advance, and pay no ticket fees!

-All advanced tickets are will-call, e-ticket, or print-at-home. No physical tickets will be delivered for the performance. When you buy in advance, your name will appear on a list at the door to assure your entry.

-Online sales close at 6pm the day of the show. If you miss the window for online sales- don't worry- tickets can be purchased at the door when the doors open at 7:30pm. The show is not- we repeat- not sold out unless there is a separate announcement indicating so.

-The Plus is a full service bar and restaurant. Food and drink will be available at the show.

-No photos or video recording are allowed during the performance.

Encounters is an art exhibition that gives people the opportunity to encounter other people in their community on a deeper level through art pieces created from individual stories. This year the theme is 'Celebrating Differences', and the prompt artists worked off was, What perspective or experience do you bring that others may not see at first glance?

Hear from some of artists themselves on their creation process and ask questions. There are 40+ individual artists who participated in this, and the exhibition includes community collaborative pieces - so the CV really contributed as well. A handful of these artists interested in engaging in this way will be on a panel. This event is curated and led by local artist and event organizer SZ Putnam. On Monday, the exhibition is open to the public from 10am-8pm. The artist discussion will begin at 6pm.

This exhibition, organized by JONAH, brings together the UWEC Art Department, the EC Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association (ECAHMAA), BaredFeet, Amy Hahn Art Therapist, and about 40 individual artists/stories of different mediums. This exhibition is supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
