Featuring four teams of dynamic and talented skates from across the Midwest, Bruise-a-thon is an action packed tournament day with four games in one day! All skaters are mixed up into four teams: The Shiners, The Maulers, The Thrashers, and The Contusions.

About the music:

Joyann Parker brings a full range of talent to her performances as an accomplished singer, pianist, songwriter must-hear lead guitarist, currently endorsed by Heritage Guitars in Kalamazoo, MI.

She has performed for thousands at major venues and festivals across the country and represented Minnesota at the 2015 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.

She has opened for Grammy winner Robert Cray, taken the stage for Grammy nominee Elvin Bishop in a pinch and is a staple on the most prestigious stages in the Twin Cities and in November 2019 performed in Qatar for the USO.

With roots in the church and a solid foundation of musical education, Joyann Parker found her authentic voice later in life and created her own blend of roots music that combines soul, R&B, gospel, jazz and traditional blues styles.

Parker has been a steadily rising star on the Minneapolis music scene, and with the release of her critically-acclaimed solo debut record, Hard To Love, she is now bringing her full range of talent as an accomplished singer, pianist, guitarist and songwriter to national and international stages.

Joyann is a 2018 Blues Blast Magazine Award Nominee and Heritage Guitars artist.

She was recently nominated by the Midwest Country Music Association as Female Vocalist and Tribute Act of the Year.

ABOUT THE SHOW
The 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival is Minnesota's longest-running comedy festival, taking place every October across venues in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Founded in 2011 by former (bad) comedian and producer Bob Edwards, the festival started as a scrappy weekend of stand up in a single room and has grown into one of the most respected comedy festivals in the Midwest. The first year's fest (the Mini-Minneapolis comedy festival) sold 64 tickets, to a 65 seat room, over the course of 7 days. We've learned some lessons along the way.

The Plus is a full service bar and restaurant. Food and drink will be available at the show. Seating is first come, first serve.

All advanced tickets are will-call, e-ticket, or print-at-home. No physical tickets will be delivered for the performance. When you buy in advance, your name will appear on a list at the door to assure your entry.

Please pay close attention to the show start time. We open the doors to the main room at 6pm for people who would like to eat before or during the show. We do this to put less stress on our staff, and make it easier for those who want the best seats. The show does not start until 8pm. We start checking tickets at 7:30pm. You are allowed to enter the main room if you are eating dinner before we start checking tickets.

Online sales close at 6pm the day of the show. If you miss the window for online sales - don't worry - tickets can be purchased at the door when the doors open at 7:30pm. The show is not - we repeat - not sold out unless there is a separate announcement indicating so. Please do not call the restaurant.

No photos or video recording are allowed during the performance.

The Plus and Clear Water Comedy reserve the right to refuse service or deny entry for anyone engaging in disruptive or disrespectful behavior. No talking, heckling, texting, or other distracting behavior is permitted. If this occurs and you are asked to leave the show, there will be no refunds.

To those who live in Red Cedar or Tainter township please note that we are having a meeting at Jake's Supper Club on September 2nd at 5:00 pm. This will serve as an opportunity to discuss this issue and for those who are interested, to sign a petition in opposition to it. We don't have much time to address this issue, so this meeting serves as a first critical step in stopping it. Bob Cook (Red Cedar township chair) and Kelly McCullough (Dunn County Board Chair) have both been invited. I recommend that someone from Tainter advisory board be invited but will leave that invite the responsibility of someone from that township.
