A. Action to Approve the Consent Agenda, as Presented:
- Minutes
That the Board of Education approves the following meeting minutes, as presented:
a) Regular Board Meeting – October 13, 2025
b) Special Board Meeting – October 27, 2025 - Financial Reports
That the Board of Education approves the financial reports for October 2025, including:- General fund checks totaling $2,434,928.33
- Cash receipts totaling $111,505.80
- Donations
Donations exceeding $1,000 received in October 2025, as presented.
- Food Service Angel Fund: $2,504.50 in donations from community members and local businesses.
- District Sponsorships: $4,000 contributed by various community members and local businesses in support of MHS programs.
- MHS Athletics: $15,000 donated by the Menomonie Area Booster Club to support MHS athletic programs.
- AnnMarie Foundation Grants:
- $1,680 to the MHS Science Department to purchase a Chromebook, brooder & grow off pen, and an incubator, secured by Brian Grotjahn.
- $3019 to the Oaklawn Music Department to purchase a Sonor Orff Global Set, secured by Veronica Ludin.
$3020 to the MHS Science Department to purchase Vernier sensors and lab equipment, secured by Michelle Huppert.

IV. ACTION AGENDA
A. Action to Approve Resolution of Support for the City of Menomonie TAP Safety GrantThe board approved the resolution unanimously.
According to City of Menomonie Director of Public Works David Schofield, the City of Menomonie will be applying for a Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant to improve bike/ped safety adjacent to Oaklawn Elementary and River Heights Elementary.
- Specifically, the grant would cover 80% of the cost of installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) in the locations shown on the attached maps. It would also cover the cost of relocating sidewalks in the vicinity of the north portal to the Stout Road Pedestrian Underpass.
- To be clear, the City is not asking for any funding from the School District of the Menomonie Area for the project.
- Mr. Schofield is hoping that the School Board would consider providing a Resolution of Support, and he is willing to attend a future meeting if there are any questions or concerns.
- Attached are the proposed project maps and a sample resolution.

About 39% of the students are eligible This is slightly less than last year because some of the automatic COVID qualifiers have expired.

The recommendation is to not move graduation this year, but the graduation on Memorial Day weekend has become difficult in many ways. Iti s currently scheduled for the evening of May 28.

It is scheduled for January 26 before the board meeting.

Steve is a member of LION Publishers , the Wisconsin Newspaper Association, the Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce, the Online News Association, and the Local Media Consortium, and is active in Health Dunn Right.
He has been a computer guy most of his life but has published a political blog, a discussion website, and now Eye On Dunn County.
