LOUD SECRETS is a weekly comedy show at The Plus in downtown Eau Claire - every week, a different comedian will host and produce the show- anything goes!

We are so proud to have local cartoonist, performer, writer and comedian Kirk Anderson in charge of his first ever LOUD SECRETS COMEDY VARIETY SHOW!

PERSONALITY CRISIS is a stand-up comedy where none of the comedians are playing themselves. Often, comedians tell us about a quirky character in their lives. Sometimes, they'll SHOW us that quirky character instead, bringing them to life right in front of our eyes. PERSONALITY CRISIS is an evening with those living, breathing, quirky characters, from some of the Valley's funniest comedians - and the quirky characters deep inside them!

The Plus is a full service bar and restaurant. Food and drink will be available at the show. Seating is first come, first serve.

Please pay close attention to the show start time. We open the doors to the main room at 6pm for people who would like to eat before or during the show. We do this to put less stress on our staff, and make it easier for those who want the best seats. The show does not start until 7:30pm. We start checking tickets at 7pm. You are allowed to enter the main room if you are eating dinner before we start checking tickets.

Experience an unforgettable evening showcasing the Violins of Hope, instruments that bear witness to the strength of their Jewish history. These powerful symbols will be on display throughout the day, leading up to an evening event filled with poignant reflections and beautiful music. The evening will feature an insightful talk by Jess Monson, Teaching Fellow of the Holocaust Education Resource Center, shedding light on a crucial period in history. The program culminates in a moving performance by the Cohen String Quartet, who will present Ullmann's powerful String Quartet No. 3 and Schulhoff's vibrant Alla Tango milonga from Five Pieces for String Quartet. The first movement from Johannes Brahms's String Quintet No. 1 in F major, Op. 88 will also be performed, creating a program that bridges past and present through the universal language of music.

For artistic inspiration, Andy draws from a diverse range of influences, blending the timeless artistry of folk legends from the 1960s with the fresh perspectives of contemporary songwriters. His sound evokes the spirit of Bob Dylan, intertwined with the emotive storytelling of artists like Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, Amigo the Devil, and Jeffrey Martin.

To date, Andy Hanson has released one full-length original album titled, Roots, and one full-length cover album entitled, Andy Hanson Sings Wyblue. The album, Roots reflects the imagery of tree roots--whatever is poured onto them, whether poison or water, influences how the tree grows, thrives, or withers. He sees this as a simple yet powerful metaphor that resonates with the human experience. Andy Hanson Sings Wyblue, is an ode to the songs written for the band Wyblue, which he used to front. The songs were so special, he didn't want to leave them behind.

Come one, come all and compete against your favorite Clear Water Comedians in our First Ever Eating Contest!

HOW IT WORKS

There are four categories:

1. Pitcher Of Beer Chugging Contest - can you chug an entire pitcher the fastest?

2. Large Supreme Pizza Eating Contest - who can eat a large supreme pizza the fastest?

3. Spicy Wing Challenge - can you eat an order of the spiciest wings we can possibly make and survive without taking a drink of liquid for five minutes?

4. Chicken Wing Speed Eating Challenge - how many chicken wings can you eat in five minutes?

When you arrive for the show, there will be boxes out - all you have to do is write your name down and place it in one of the boxes - sorry, you can only compete in one competition - you can put your name in the box for all of them, but once you're chosen, you cannot compete in a second challenge.

In each category, four audience members will be selected to compete against a local member of Clear Water Comedy.

If you win, you'll get a pass for Buy One, Get One Free Drinks at The Plus for ALL OF 2026!!!

There will be other drawings for free comedy tickets, food specials, and other prizes as well.

Garden Party is a folk rock trio who originally met as players in the Ukulele Club of Eau Claire, finding that their musical ties went deep. The members include Tom Lockhart on bass, Teresa Jolivette on ukulele and Marjorie Craemer on Guitar, with sweet harmony on every song. Folk, pop and American are some of the genres you will hear from this warm acoustic combo.

Cullen Ryan is one of the co-founders of Clear Water Comedy, and has been booking, promoting, and producing, and performing throughout the Chippewa Valley since moving here in 2012. Cullen was awarded the Volume One Vanguard Award earlier this year for his local impact on the arts.

Cullen became the full-time Event Coordinator for The Plus in 2018, and stepped into more of a booking role in Clear Water Comedy. Since then, some of the biggest names in comedy have performed in downtown Eau Claire- including Sarah Sherman, Megan Stalter, Kyle Kinane, Adam Friedland, Sean Patton, Mary Mack, Beth Stelling, Neil Hamburger, Rory Scovel- and literally hundreds more.

Cullen has not headlined The Plus in over six years.

In this show Monster Man, you'll hear personal stories about fatherhood, family, and the big ol' dumb silly mess life can be for us all.
